BOTTLE GOURD KURMA
Ingredients:(serves 4)
Bottle gourd- 1 (medium sized and grated)
Onion- 1 (big and finely chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tbspn
Roasted peanuts- 1 handfull
Dry red chillies- 6
Fennel seeds- 1 tbspn
Turmeric powder- 1 tspn
Water- 1 cup
Bottle gourd- 1 (medium sized and grated)
Onion- 1 (big and finely chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tbspn
Roasted peanuts- 1 handfull
Dry red chillies- 6
Fennel seeds- 1 tbspn
Turmeric powder- 1 tspn
Water- 1 cup
Salt to taste
Oil- 1 tbspn
Method:
Peel the skin of bottle gourd and grate it. Heat the pan and add the oil. When the oil is hot add the fennel seeds followed by onion.
When the onion turns brown add the grated bottle gourd, salt and turmeric and stir. Let the bottle gourd cook for 5 minutes under low fire with the lid on.

In the mean while dry roast the peanuts and red chillies.

Powder the peanuts and chillies in the mixer and add it to the cooked bottle gourd. Add the water and mix well.
Switch off the fire when the kurma boils and serve hot with chapati's and rice.
